Lucas the Spider

Lucas the Spider

Lucas the Spider is an animated character created by animator Joshua Slice, named after and previously voiced by his nephew. Lucas is based on a jumping spider and has starred in multiple short YouTube videos between 2017 and 2019. The character gained widespread popularity for its cute appearance and gentle nature, challenging common fears of spiders. In 2018, Canadian production company Fresh TV acquired the rights to expand the web series into a long-form television series. The show premiered on Cartoon Network's Cartoonito block in 2021 and features a full cast of characters including Findley, Bodhi, Avocado, Arlo, and Maizie. It has been distributed globally by CAKE and aired on platforms like HBO Max and Netflix.
