Shovel Knight

Shovel Knight

Shovel Knight is a 2D side-scrolling platform video game franchise developed and published by Yacht Club Games. The series pays homage to 8-bit games of the NES era, featuring a knight who wields a shovel as both a weapon and tool. The original game, Shovel of Hope, was released in 2014 after a successful Kickstarter campaign and has since expanded into a full franchise including multiple campaigns such as Plague of Shadows, Specter of Torment, King of Cards, and spin-offs like Shovel Knight Showdown and Shovel Knight Dig. The game is known for its challenging gameplay, retro aesthetic, and memorable soundtrack composed by Jake Kaufman and Manami Matsumae.
