Based on open architecture, the CS-IC provides ubiquitous, simultaneous multi-function capability across a broad range of applications. Because the CS-IC’s call control and application elements are independent from the actual switching hardware, solutions deployment and implementation can be tailored according to a service provider’s specific economic and functional requirements. This represents a significant departure from traditional solutions that employ embedded control and applications software with limited flexibility.
