Toll Free number (i.e. Freephone, Freecall, or 800 number) service enables the called party to pay all of the charges related to the call. Toll free numbers are commonly used by enterprises, but the inward call number service is gaining popularity for personal use. Veraz offers several optional enhanced Toll Free number services to meet different service providers needs. They include: In-switch Toll Free (Personal Toll Free and Security PIN Toll Free), INAP Toll Free, and AIN Toll Free.
In-Switch Toll Free: Toll Free translations services are offered directly by the Veraz ControlSwitch. Its flexible policies based on approximately two hundred parameters such as time of day, location of origin, etc. can be utilized for complex and enhanced translation services. Some of the enhanced services offered as part of the In-Switch Toll Free service are as follows:
Personal Toll Free: Subscribers willing to avoid paying high phone and calling cards bills can opt for Personal Toll Free service. It allows subscribers to be contacted by anyone they choose at any time from any where, even from a pay phone - with one toll free number. For instance, parents can get a toll free number so that their children, who are away at college, can call home without having to make costly collect calls.
Security PIN Toll Free: This option requires the caller to enter an authorized PIN number for authentication purposes before dialing a toll free number. This is feature is ideal for subscribers willing to gain more control over their toll free number service usage.
INAP-SCP Toll Free Access: This option is based on Capability Set 1 (CS1) core Intelligent Network Application Protocol (INAP) Part 1 and Q.1600 SS7 for ISUP and INAP interconnection. The service announcements are based on an IP Media Server servicing as an SRF under softswitch control.
Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) SCP Toll Free Access: The ControlSwitch enabled solution utilizes GR-2892; GR- 2902; GR-1298 and GR-1299 TCAP specifications.
SIP SCP Toll Free Access: The Veraz SIP SCP Access option for Toll Free enables operators to migrate to next generation SIP-based SCPs.
As with any of Veraz Toll Free Service options, service providers can combine Toll Free services with new enhanced services for increased revenue.
